ConSurv’s Experience within the Mining and Construction has been proven with the involvement of its senior Surveyors in a number of Major mining and infrastructure projects throughout Australia.
Total project value $270M – provision of surveying services to all contractors on site with survey support provided at all facets of construction (Civil, Structural, Mechanical and Process)
This project required specialised survey control of works rarely performed in South Australia with the construction of a 570M offshore outfall pipe and subsequent “pipe launch” and associated marine infrastructure.
- Olympic Dam ODP1 Open Pit Expansion - South Australia.
- ConSurv Surveyors were involved in the project from commencement providing our technical services to all stakeholders and performing Survey setout, Design and Contract reporting for the preliminary works for the ODP1 expansion project.
- ConSurv Surveyors understanding of efficient civil construction principles assisted in the development and design of the site Haul Road network and Our Surveyors assisted by performing detailed road and earthworks design and calculations to allow the contractor to deliver the most efficient material movement within the allocated budget.
Granites gold mine TSF, Northern Territory.
ConSurv Surveyors assisted with the delivery of the Quorn Northwest TSF, this project consisted of 3500m of perimeter embankment and associated de-watering management infrastructure, survey and conformance reporting for construction of a new tails storage facility.
Iron Duke Project Magnet TSF and OBP TSF, South Middle Back Ranges - South Australia.
- ConSurv's team assisted with the "On Time and Under Budget" delivery of these two Dam construction projects based in the SMR operations. Our experience with Machine Control Equipment and our sound understanding of Civil design principles allowed to provide a supporting role, allowing the Civil contractor to utilise Machine Control earth moving equipment where possible to Construct a large portion of this embankment without the need for on site Surveyors, this delivered a major cost saving to the contractor allowing the construction of 4.5kms of TSF wall with only one survey setout. ConSurv assisted with the initial site control establishment and provision of Hire Survey equipment for the duration of the project.
Mt Carlton Main Water Dam (MWD), North Queensland
ConSurv assisted with the provision of a Senior Surveyor for the project establishment and commencement of works, ConSurv's involvement with this project was very detailed due the nature of the design and the requirement to interface with structures and features to ensure embankment integrity for the life of the Storage facility.
ConSurv provided Design assistance and field data analysis to ensure the design intent was adhered to under adverse site conditions, our involvement was crucial for our Client to deliver the project to the required Engineering standard.
ConSurv performed projected volume analysis to allow for project cost estimates and measurement for final contract payment.
